Finding the Magic Paint Brush

Walt Disney World is our family's favorite place to visit! We've vacationed there a number of times and have made so many great memories. During our most recent trip, I read somewhere that each morning a Cast Member hides eight paint brushes on Tom Sawyer's Island, and the lucky finders are awarded a one-of-a-kind FASTPASS to Splash Mountain. When I mentioned this fact to my then six-year-old daughter, she became very determined to find one. By the time we arrived at the raft station it was late in the day. As we made our way over to the Island, we figured all the paint brushes must have been found by then. We walked to Fort Langhorn and then asked a Cast Member if it was true about the hidden paint brushes. He not only told us it was true but also said that there were two brushes yet to be found! My daughter screamed and started searching everywhere. In the Fort, on the bridge, through the woods, in the caves ... nothing! We finally gave up and headed back to the raft station. As we waited for the return raft, I began looking at the decorations on the station wall and saw something white on a shelf hidden behind a lantern. I picked up my daughter to have her take a look and sure enough she pulled out a paint brush – we couldn't believe it! We immediately gave it to a Cast Member and he not only returned with the special FASTPASSES to Splash Mountain, but also additional FASTPASSES to Big Thunder Mountain as well! It was just a terrific moment, and something we'll never forget. Thanks for all the great memories!
